The European Council of Engineers Chambers is proud to support the anotHERVIEWture Award, which honors exceptional achievements by women in the field of architecture and engineering. Initiated by the Austrian Federal Chamber of Architects, its mission is to highlight the contributions of female architects and engineers, while fostering greater diversity and innovation within these disciplines. Female architects and engineers from Austria and internationally can now apply with their outstanding projects. It’s time to shine an even brighter spotlight on the creative contributions of female architects and engineers. The jury for the anotHERVIEWture Award is made up of nationally and internationally renowned female architects and engineers. ECEC is well represented with Nina Drazin Lovrec and Kristinka Chulak serving as jury members for the 2026 award edition.
International Award Categories:
The award comprises a total of four categories. While the first two categories are aimed at Austrian participants, categories 3 and 4 are international in scope.
Category 3:
National/International Female Engineering Achievement of the Year
The National/International Female Engineering Achievement of the Year Award celebrates visionary women whose work sets new benchmarks in their technical field and recognizes solutions that have been achieved using methods or processes in the respective technical field and are distinguished by:
- Innovation and/or
- Complexity of the planning task solved and/or
- Outstanding design
One realised project must be submitted in which aspects such as functionality, innovation, rationality, and ecology have been taken into account. Female engineers in and outside Austria are invited to submit a project for Category III.
Category 4:
International Female Architect of the Year
The International Female Architect of the Year Award honors female architects working outside Austria. Only female architects living outside Austria are invited to submit three realised and built projects.
