"Crisis – Challenge – Engineer" was the title of this year's Bavarian Day of Engineers which took place on Friday, 31st January 2014. It was attended by more than 800 participants from Germany and from abroad. Among distinguished guests were German Minister of Inner Affairs, Bavarian politicians, Scholars from Universities, Institutes,… .
Mr. Crtomir Remec, president of the ECEC (European Chamber of Engineers' Chambers), was invited to present ECEC to auditorium.
He presented the ECEC organisation and informed the participants how it operates. He stressed that ECEC represented interests of all European certified engineers, members of Engineering Chambers, in front of European Commission, European Parliament and European Council. He pointed out ECEC's engagement considered regulated engineering services, tariffs and liberal professions as well. He concluded his thougths with invitation to the 2nd European Day of Engineers which will take place in Brussels, Belgium, in November 2014.
Last but not least he informed German engineers, that last year, at the occasion of its 10th Anniversary, ECEC awarded its first medal for a special contribution to the values of ECEC to the past president of the Bavarian Chamber of Engineers, Prof. Dr.-Ing. e. h. Karl Kling, in honour of his outstanding and insistent efforts towards establishing a European organisation of Engineers' Chambers.
