On Saturday, 15th of October, the 13th General Assembly Meeting of the European Council of Engineers‘ Chambers took place at the Hilton Hotel in Budapest, Hungary, hosted by the President of the Hungarian Chamber of Engineers, DI Etelka Barsi-Pataky. As the ECEC has currently started the procedure of changing its legal status, Auditor and legal advisor, Thomas Noebel reported on the process of registration of the ECEC as an association internationale sans but lucratif (AISBL) in Belgium. After demonstrating all important details of the registration procedure, he found wide agreement within the Assembly.

The Croatian Chamber of Electrical Engineers (HKIE) will join the ECEC as associated member and the Union Profesional de Colegios de Ingenieros (UPCI) from Spain will replace the current Spanish member as a full member from next year on.
